Like recently where she modded a bunch of her LSP's into Five Nights At Freddies characters.
She spends a lot of her time with paints and brushes and scissors and glue and all manner of things, changing all of her toys into something new.
So we've decided to take it to the next level. We're researching airbrushes and equipment so she can do much more intricate work. And we're expanding to other toys and dolls. We're going to work together to do "face-ups" and create fan art and customs on dolls and toys.
We'll be practicing on clearance dolls and cheap My Little Ponies and LSP's, whatever we can get our hands on. We'll be perusing thrift stores for old unwanted dolls and give them new life.
We'll sew new clothes, and give new hair. We'll be dying and glue gunning and painting. She's so excited! And so am I to help her along the way with all of this.
We're going to start with some cheaper options to practice, but eventually she will get her own Blythe doll and some other more collectible ball joint dolls and mod those too.
AND we're going to add a dual website in the mix to write about and post her journey and some of my art dolls as well. So she will learn about web design along the way!
Some more things happening in the last month or so:
Library time and reading
She is still working on Warriors books (Warrior Cats) in the long long series, but we have been taking out library books of which I read to her at night before bed and she reads along with me. We recently started The Golden Compass but decided after the first 3 chapters that she didn't care for it very much. So on to the next book we go! But I'm really valuing the time with her, and she really likes having me present to explain words she doesn't yet know,
Mud Season In Maine
The big melt is happening and the kiddos are spending a lot of time outdoors!
They really like playing in the mud and puddles. Toys have been brought out into the mud for some really imaginative play. Both kids have been ending the day covered in mud and smiling faces.
Audrey got pet ducks!
Recently her pet silkies became pray to something from the woods. We visited the farm next door and our neighbors just happen to have 3 little baby ducks who needed a pet home. And so a match was made! She is such a doting little ducky mama. These will be about the most spoiled little ducklings ever. We have plans (Audrey and I) to begin building a new pen for the ducks, as well as digging in a makeshift pond and building a little duck house.
Cooking
Always, always cooking things, but Audrey has become more interested in cooking dinner items. Last night we made homemade chicken nuggets. She learned to soak in milk and how to make a bread crumb coating and helped to fry them up in a pan.
The usual things
baking, reading, computer games and research, watching videos and movies, drawing and art, digital painting, working on her youtube channel, helping care for the chickens and collecting eggs, goat and pig care, playing in the yard, helping me shop and do errands,
