Books We Picked Up

At some point over the last months or so the kiddos were exploring Minecraft skins and came across some "Native American" skins, which of course opened up a barrell of questions and discussions.

So we picked out some books to delve a little deeper into, among some other gems we decided to hold onto as well.

Nevermind the pine shavings. There are baby goats in the house! I'm having a hard time conquering the mess they are making around my family rooms. :-)

More Random Things That We Did During Our Last Couple Cabin Fever Months...

* A decided to to try out learning to knit. First we tried on some small knitting needles, then tried finger knitting with the help of some Youtube videos. She decided she doesn't care to learn to knit yet.

* Countless Youtube videos about Minecraft Mods

* Learning to use the video camera and making silly videos

 * Shrinky Dink paper doll making

* Chili making, soup making, cookie making, bread makig (in the bread machine but still pretty good!)

* She met her baby cousin and got to hold her

* My Little Pony Drawing

* Listening to music - we explored some old English Ska bands and old roots reggae

* We had lots of talks about birth and babies while waiting on the birth of our baby goats. She didn't witness the full birth, but some pretty gritty parts of it. It was very interesting and educational

* Lots of conversations about things she aspire to do. A common conversation "when she grows up...)

I'm sure there is so much more but I'm horrible at keeping track of these things! I went out of my way to buy a special camera just for the purpose of taking more pictures of the things we are doing (so much cannot be expressed in pictures (like the endless conversations) but even when we ARE doing things I should snap pictures of, I find that I am living in the moment and not thinking in terms of capturing it. Hopefully our new tiny point and shoot camera will do the trick!
