A Day In The Life...

I in no way think of us as having a "typical" day. Even when it appears we are not doing a whole lot, each day is a bit different.

Almost every day starts off with A playing her favorite online game/gathering place, Club Penguin.

Some days she may spend the day immersed in art and paper dolls and paint. Others she may be creating with clay and then spend some time watching documentaries and looking up stuff on Youtube.

Some days we may take road trips, go shopping, visit the farmer's market or go exploring.

Some days we spend all day outside just soaking up sun and working our tiny farm.

But here is what happened so far today...

And it's only the afternoon!


1.  A started the day as usual with a few minutes of snuggle time and then logging into Club Penguin while she ate her breakfast.

2. A helped me transport all 18 of our baby chicks to their outdoor pen. We did this by means of a big wide bucket, placing them into the bucket from their brooder and then carrying to their pen, where she helped one by one pick them up and set them free into the grass. We took 3 trips to get them all outside.

3. She helped me clean the chicken waterers and refill with fresh water.

4. We watered the garden.

5. We put our two goat does out to asture and refilled their waters.

6. We discovered that one of the baby bucklings was sick. Audrey helped keep him calm and away from the road (we let him out of his pen) while I fetched medicine. We treated his sickness with natural treatments which she learned about and helped with. An hour later he was better and eating and drinking again!

7. She created some puddles with the house for her toy horses to "play" in.

8. She helped me move our vegetable seedlings (which we started ourselves from seed) form the sun room shelves to the back porch to sun. She helped me water them.

9. She created a pool in our bathroom for her My Little Ponies. Which consisted of cleaning out the sink herself first.

10. She helped me make healthy fruit smoothies.

11. We checked on baby goat who was doing much better.


Soooo many more hours left to DO things.  :-)




YESTERDAY:

She helped me make lentil soup. We cleaned her room together and rearranged all the furniture. We cleaned the living room together (she decided she didnt like that part so I finished myself).

She played Club Penguin and made a new Minecraft skin which she uploaded to her account all on her own. She played Uno via skype with her penpal form Georgia. She looked up silly videos of cats on Youtube.

We baked a bread in the breadmaker.
